A Summer season of fantastic family workshops at the museum

We are thrilled that the Museum is able to open its doors and welcome visitors back to see amazing new exhibitions, permanent collections and our Summer Season of Workshops! These family workshops offer you and your children the unique opportunity to get up close to artefacts, ask questions and create something amazing!

All Creatures Great and Small
This a lovely workshop creating mini creatures. These could be insects you have discovered in your garden or park. Maybe you will make some stick insects, dragonflies, bees or butterflies or something completely different! If you have time do have a wander around the Museum Galleries and discover how many mini creatures you can see that are sewn, painted, carved and modelled on objects and costumes. How many can you find?

All materials are provided including pipe cleaners, recycled materials and of course googly eyes!
