This year we are welcoming a selection of nine Sussex artists, whose styles compliment one another, and yet are individually unique with a contemporary edge.  They aren’t part of a particular collective of artists, but have been independently selected by the curators for their contribution to the Open21 exhibition.

The nine artists are predominantly painters using a variety of paint mediums, but some also use the medium of printmaking.  

One of the interesting features of this show is how different each artist is with their own distinctive narratives, motivation and style, but also how harmoniously their work sits together regardless of their diverse palette and subject matter.

We hope you’re inspired as much as we have been by these nine independent artists. Many pieces are for sale so this is a great opportunity to purchase a contemporary piece to keep and enjoy in the future.
