Become a young curator in this 2 day summer school workshop!

Calling all 12 to 16 year olds for a unique 2 days in the Museum. Be inspired by archaeology, costume, art and more from the collections. Explore behind the scenes and create a unique t-shirt and tote bag learning new print and free style embroidery skills.

Over the 2 days you will:

Day 1 - Morning
-Guided tour behind the scenes, look at some interesting artefacts from the collection.
-Introduction to sketching and techniques.
-drawing around the Museum using different methods gathering ideas for making a design.
Afternoon
-Using your drawing and ideas learn how to cut soft cut lino and start printing.

Day 2
-Lino print onto a tote bag or t-shirt.
-Have a go at using fabric pens, sewing, free style embroidery onto tote bag and t-shirt print.
