Tutor Stephanie Smart will show you how to produce a range of shapes using a simple coil, which you will then apply to produce a beautiful two-dimensional design to take home.
Paper quilling was a popular pastime in the Regency period when it was used to produce pictures and to decorate the surfaces of three-dimensional objects including pieces of furniture.
Stephanie first learnt paper quilling when she was 13. Returning to it as an adult she has adapted the technique to stunning effect, applying it both as a means of surface decoration and decorative structure in her work as a fine artist producing garments from paper and thread.
