Unlock the secrets of garment replication with SEW Brighton in our transformative workshop!

Have you ever wished you could recreate your favourite clothing pieces without unravelling them? Look no further! Join us for a workshop where you'll learn to make a pattern from your beloved garments without ever having to take them apart.

Led by our skilled instructors, you'll embark on a journey to replicate your clothes with precision and finesse. Discover how to create a pattern that captures the essence of your garment, allowing you to recreate it time and time again in a variety of fabrics, colours, and sizes, with improved fit and design if desired.

During the workshop, you'll:

  • Try on your garment to assess fit and identify areas for improvement
  • Skilfully trace off your garment onto pattern paper
  • Enjoy a relaxing 20-minute break, with complimentary teas and coffees provided
  • Measure and verify your pattern against garment measurements for accuracy
  • Add essential details such as seam allowance, markings, and notches
  • Receive expert guidance on selecting fabrics and trims for your future creations

Please note that this workshop focuses on pattern-making, and you won't be sewing garments during the class. However, you'll leave with a meticulously crafted pattern of your replicated garment, ready to be brought to life in your own sewing space or with our support in our general sewing classes.

This workshop is suitable for Improver-level students and above, meaning you should have some basic knowledge of sewing and have completed at least one sewing project using a sewing machine. We'll email you prior to the workshop to gather information about the garment you'll be bringing along.
