Helen Hancocks is a bestselling author-illustrator of picture books based in Lincoln, UK. Her illustrated book Why Do We Wear Clothes? was published by Puffin in 2020, bringing clothes from designers and cultures around the world to seven- to nine-year-old readers. 

This exhibition will showcase Helens original artwork for the book alongside items from the museum's historic dress collection.

We are thrilled to offer you the opportunity to meet artist Helen Hancocks. The meet the artist event will take place on Saturday 5th August 2023, 2-4pm in the Norwood Gallery in Worthing Museum.

 

Please Note All Worthing Museum and Gallery's Exhibitions are free. No need to book, just turn up. Donations are gladly accepted, these are used to support WTM's work to enrich people’s lives through arts and heritage. You can donate online here or via our donation boxes at the Museum.
