  • Description

Our hugely popular lecture series returns on Thursday evenings this October and November.

An intimate season of talks with our Archaeology Curator James Sainsbury and a guest speaker. Explore a wide range of subjects from Worthing in the Neolithic, the stories of Cissbury, Chanctonbury Ring and Highdown, through to the Norman Conquest and Worthing in the Great War. This year social historian Beth Collard will be giving a brand new lecture on the Pioneering Women of Worthing, as well as her fascinating talk on Harry Peuleve, a Worthing-born SOE agent active in Europe during World War II.

About the talk

Join Social Historian Beth as she looks at the incredible life of Worthing-born Harry Peulevé. From undercover work with the French Resistance to a daring escape from Buchenwald concentration camp, this talk tells the extraordinary story of Worthing-born SOE agent Harry Peulevé.
