  • Description

Our hugely popular lecture series returns on Thursday evenings this October and November.

An intimate season of talks with our Archaeology Curator James Sainsbury and a guest speaker. Explore a wide range of subjects from Worthing in the Neolithic, the stories of Cissbury, Chanctonbury Ring and Highdown, through to the Norman Conquest and Worthing in the Great War. This year social historian Beth Collard will be giving a brand new lecture on the Pioneering Women of Worthing, as well as her fascinating talk on Harry Peuleve, a Worthing-born SOE agent active in Europe during World War II.

About the talk

Join Social Historian Beth for a talk on the trailblazing female figures in Worthing's history. Everything from ground-breaking civic developments to dangerous work on the frontlines of the Great War and beyond.

Ticket price includes a glass of wine or tea/coffee.
