SPIN OUT returns for summer 2023!

Why? is both a tender and exhilarating aerial duet exploring themes of life, loss, surrender and acceptance in a soft and moving way.

The piece offers a visceral experience for its audiences that not only legitimises the emotional one but creates space for the viewer to bring their own understanding to it, triggering a resonance, not dictating their experience.

Performed in two parts, Why? uses climbing harnesses and abseil lines to dance on a bespoke free-standing wall - ‘vertical dance’.

Originally created in 2004, it formed the keystone for Gravity & Levity’s first full-length production which toured nationally in 2005.

In 2019 the piece was re-imagined with the same creative team and cast 15 years on is and is performed to a powerfully haunting commissioned sound score, with spoken word interspersed throughout the piece.

Spin Out 2023
SPIN OUT is our annual season of mesmerising open-air performances throughout Worthing from the best, and most exciting performers of theatre, circus, music and dance. All shows are completely free, offering residents and visitors of all ages the opportunity to engage with and enjoy thrilling innovative outdoor performances. There will be free shows on select SATURDAYs between Sat 17th June & Sat 9th September. It's our BIGGEST AND BEST season yet!

We would like to thank Worthing Borough Council, Town Centre Initiative and Time For Worthing for their support in bringing SPIN OUT 2023 to the town.

This show is part of our launch for The Worthing Festival. We will be celebrating with an open day at the Pavilion Theatre Atrium featuring circus performers, activities and opportunities to learn circus skills.
