A fantastic two day collection based workshop with Ian Chipperfield, the acclaimed Stay Maker at Worthing Museum.
You will be carefully guided through each stage – accurate measuring, pattern making, cutting out and making up. Create a bespoke pattern and learn to sew a toile ready for fitting so you can then make a real corset at home.
Materials for toile and tea and coffee provided. No pattern cutting or sewing experience is necessary. You will need to bring lunch on both days and your own sewing machine on Sunday only.
Included in the workshop:
Victorian pattern based corset making and expert curator talk with items from our collection.
