This Spring we are delving into the back catalogue of the classic Ealing Studios. Best known for their post-WWII films, usually set in London with a darkly comedic tone. Every film in this season is a stone-cold classic, so grab a ticket for all of them!

About the film
During World War II, the tiny Scottish island of Todday runs out of whisky. When the freighter S.S. Cabinet Minister runs aground nearby during a heavy fog, the islanders are delighted to learn that its cargo consists of 50,000 cases of whisky. When officious English commanding officer Captain Waggett demands return of the liquor, shopkeeper Joseph Macroon and his daughters spearhead an island rebellion.
