Principal purpose of job

The Assistant Programmer will work closely with the Head of Programming (HofP) on:

  • PROGRAMMING - researching potential programming across all genres, responding to incoming enquiries, maintaining the exceptionally positive relationships with companies and producers. Depending on experience and business needs may propose a programme of performances for a specific genre of work. Go & See opportunities to give insightful feedback on potential shows.
  • ADMINISTRATION - provide meticulous admin support across a number of areas. Managing the contracting process and rolling out of shows across the organisation. Carefully manage the programming element of the diary management system for the venues.
  • CREATIVE AND COMMUNITY PROJECTS - administer and coordinate the creative and community projects including R&D, HAF, externally funded projects and new projects as they develop. Be an ambassador for the work of Worthing Theatres and Museum furthering our reputation both locally, regionally and nationally.
