About The History of Sound
Romantic drama about two young men determined to preserve the music of their time.
Lionel is a talented singer from rural Kentucky, raised on the songs his father would sing on the front porch. Upon winning a scholarship to the Boston Music Conservatory, Lionel bonds with fellow student David over their love of folk ballads. The two spend a winter exploring the forests of Maine to record the songs of their fellow countrymen. The music they preserve will come to define Lionel's path in ways that will take nearly the entirety of his life to discover.
