Worthing Musical Comedy Society presents Come From Away

The worldwide phenomenon that took Broadway and the West End by storm comes to Worthing! Winner of the Olivier Award for Best New Musical and a Tony Award, Come From Away has been hailed as “a moving, irresistible triumph” and continues to wow audiences across the globe. This extraordinary true story whisks you away to the small town of Gander, Newfoundland, where 7,000 stranded passengers from 100 different countries found hope, humanity, and unexpected friendships in the wake of 9/11. With a vibrant folk-rock score, infectious energy, and a story that will leave you both laughing and crying, Come From Away is the must-see musical of the decade.

Come From Away was originally co-produced in 2015 by La Jolla Playhouse and Seattle Repertory Theater and presented in 2016 by Ford’s Theatre. Come From Away (NAMT Festival 2013) was originally developed at the Canadian Music Theatre Project, Michael Rubinoff Producer, Sheridan College in Oakville, Ontario, Canada, and was further developed at Goodspeed Musicals’ Festival of New Artists, in East Haddam, Connecticut. The Canada Council for the Arts, The Ontario Arts Council, and The Fifth Avenue Theatre, Seattle, Washington, also provided development support.
