About Kids Workshop - Making History

Create swords, shields and imaginative designs

Step into the past and get creative in this hands-on Making History workshop for children aged 7–11. Inspired by artefacts from the Museum’s collection, this fun session invites young makers to design and build their own swords, shields and imaginative creations.

Using cardboard, tape and a wide range of materials, participants can experiment, invent and bring their ideas to life. This workshop encourages creativity, problem-solving and imaginative play in a relaxed and supportive environment.

Perfect for children who enjoy making, building and exploring history in a creative way, each participant will leave with their own unique creation.

All materials are provided.
