Let imaginations run wild in this fun and creative Mini Beast Puppets workshop, where children can design and make their own puppets inspired by insects, creatures and characters.

Using a range of materials and techniques, participants will create unique puppets to take home and use in their very own puppet shows. This hands-on activity encourages creativity, storytelling and play, making it perfect for young makers and performers.

All materials are provided, with the option to bring along your own socks to personalise your creations.

Make your first sock puppet and bring it to life

A playful introduction to puppet making, this session focuses on creatingsimple sock puppetsusing colourful materials and easy techniques.

Children will design and decorate their own mini beast puppet, then have the chance to use it in imaginative play. Each participant can take home one or more puppets to continue the fun.

Age: 5–7 years
All materials supplied. Optional: bring a sock to use.

Explore creative puppet-making techniques

This session expands on puppet-making skills, giving children the opportunity to create a variety of mini beast puppets, includingsock puppets, cardboard puppets, finger puppets and more.

Working in a small, creative group, participants can experiment with different materials and techniques to design their own characters and develop storytelling ideas.
