Discover the traditional craft of willow weaving in this one-day Foraging Basket Workshop at Worthing Museum. Perfect for beginners, this hands-on session offers a step-by-step introduction to working with natural willow to create your own rustic basket.

Guided at a gentle pace in a small, friendly group, you will learn essential weaving techniques with plenty of one-to-one support. Your finished basket is both practical and decorative—ideal for gathering produce, flowers or foraging on walks.

Working with natural materials, this workshop provides a rewarding and grounding creative experience. You will also learn about the different varieties of willow and their long history of use in traditional crafts.

All materials are provided. You are welcome to bring your own secateurs and gardening gloves. Hot drinks are included; please bring a packed lunch.
