After 13 years dedicated to developing the cultural offer delivered by Worthing Theatres & Worthing Museum, Amanda O’Reilly has left the organisation on 13 February.
Yemisi Mokuolu, Chair Worthing Theatres & Museum said: “From myself and my fellow trustees, we would like to thank Amanda for her significant contribution over more than a decade to arts and culture in Worthing, including leading the transition to independent charitable status and guiding the organisation through an exceptionally challenging period during the pandemic.
As our brilliant team prepares for a big year marked by the reopening of our museum and celebrating the Pavilion’s centennial, we will now begin the process to find a new CEO to lead this exceptional charity at the heart of Worthing’s culture and town.”
Amanda O’Reilly said: “It has been a wonderful journey and I am extremely proud of all we have achieved – spinning out from Worthing Borough Council to become an independent charity, weathering the pandemic, dramatically increasing our engagement with our community and achieving a reputation for our creativity, positivity and professionalism. Worthing Borough Council are an incredibly supportive partner, and I greatly enjoyed working for them and then with them as the new charity found its feet.
I am leaving a strong organisation with a talented and committed team of staff. I will be watching with interest and, I am sure, delight to see what comes next for Worthing Theatres and particularly Worthing Museum, whose relaunch I know will be a great success.”
Interim leadership is in place to support the organisation during the recruitment and selection process for a new CEO.
