What if one evening could change the way you see the world?
TEDxWorthing is coming back to the Pavilion Theatre on Monday 5 October 2026, bringing together more than 700 people for an evening of talks, stories and experiences built around the ideas shaping Worthing and beyond.
Now in its second year, the event has quickly grown into one of the town's most anticipated dates in the calendar, a night where local ideas get a platform, and where the conversations in the room have the potential to reach a global audience through TEDx's worldwide network.
This year's theme, We Begin Here, explores where positive change starts. This year's line-up brings together 8 speakers from Worthing and further afield to explore what We Begin Here means to them, covering topics from artificial intelligence to mental health, sustainability, youth representation and the future of our towns. Among those taking to the stage are entrepreneur Sarah Hadwen, neuroscientist Julia Panozzo, youth campaigner Emily Pybus, writer and artist Dan Thompson, Sussex Business Times CEO and You Alright Mate? founder Sam Thomas, sustainability advocate Charlotte Curl, and inclusion champion Toby Gorniak MBE with more to be announced.
Alongside the talks, the evening has plenty of facilitated space built in to meet and connect with other people who care about creativity, innovation and positive change in our town.
TEDxWorthing curator Zoe-Beth Hobbs says the event is about more than the speakers on stage:
“TEDxWorthing isn’t just about listening to inspiring speakers. It’s about bringing people together around ideas that matter. We want audiences to leave with new perspectives, new connections and the confidence to play a part in creating positive change in their communities.”
Whether you're drawn in by science, business, creativity, community or technology, or you just enjoy an evening that makes you think differently, TEDxWorthing offers something beyond a typical night at the theatre.
