Alan Richardson

Alan graduated from the Guildford School of Acting with a Distinction and the Principal’s  Award for Excellence.  

Alan most recently played Mary Sunshine in the 21st Anniversary production of  Chicago in the West End.  

Theatre credits include: Johnny in Hangover Square, 54 Below, Broadway, New York;  The Mermaid Queen in Paul Boyd’s Peter Pan: The Musical, Lyric Theatre, Belfast; Ruth in Regan DeWynter’s The Pirates of Penzance, Wilton’s Music Hall; Yum-Yum in Regan  DeWynter’s The Mikado, UK Tour; Mary Sunshine in‘Chicago, UK Tour; Josephine in  Regan DeWynter’s H.M.S. Pinafore, UK Tour; Kitten in Paul Boyd’s Molly Wobbly,  Leicester Square Theatre; Lead Vocalist in The Thursford Christmas Spectacular;  Oscar in Ballo: A Masked Ball, King’s Head Theatre; Phyllis in Regan DeWynter's  Iolanthe, Wilton’s Music Hall; Herman in Sweet Charity, Theatre Royal Drury Lane; the  European premiere of Listen to My Heart: The Songs of David Friedman, Marlborough  Theatre, Brighton; South Pacific, Birmingham Symphony Hall, a live recording for transmission on BBC Radio 2.  

He received the award for People’s Choice Best Actor in the Off West End Awards  (OFFIES) 2011 for his portrayal of Mabel in the acclaimed Regan DeWynter’s The Pirates of Penzance, at Wilton’s Music Hall, and reprised the role in the 2012 International Tour and West End run at the Palace Theatre in 2020.
