James Jordan
Best known to millions as one of the standout professionals from the hit BBC series, James became a firm favourite with viewers thanks to his electrifying Latin performances, razor-sharp technique and unmistakable stage presence. A champion ballroom and Latin dancer, he built his reputation on dynamic routines, passion and natural showmanship — the perfect ingredients for commanding the Pavilion stage and earning the chorus of boos every great panto baddie dreams of.
Away from the ballroom, James has become a familiar face across British television. He has appeared on The Full Monty (ITV), Celebrity Catchphrase, Celebrity Coach Trip and Celebrity Big Brother. In 2019, he famously skated to victory on ITV’s Dancing on Ice, embracing the challenge of learning a completely new discipline before lifting the coveted trophy. 2026 brought further stage success with the UK tour of The Legends of the Dancefloor, where James performed alongside fellow Strictly professionals. Following overwhelming audience demand, plans are already underway for a brand-new 2027 tour.
James first began dancing at the age of ten and went on to enjoy an outstanding competitive career, collecting numerous titles and championship honours. His success reached even greater heights when he partnered with Ola Jordan, now his wife of more than 20 years. Together they competed around the globe, becoming one of the world’s top 12 dance couples and proudly representing England at the World Championships.
