Worthing Museum partnered with the Worthing Archaeological Society and residents of the parish of Burpham to undertake a major series of excavations in 2024 and 2025.
Over thirty test pits were dug in private gardens, with over 15,000 artefacts recovered. This exhibition tells the story of both Burpham and Wepgam villages from the Stone Age, through to today, alongside maps, historic finds and photographs showcasing a community coming together in search of their local heritage.
